OUR SCHOOL
Our school was originally founded in Kanagawa Prefecture in 2005 by a team of teachers specializing in European languages (French, Italian, German, and Spanish) and Asian languages (Korean and Chinese). It was in 2014 that our Japanese department, a project that was particularly close to our hearts, finally opened its doors, right across from Kamakura Station.
"Japanese in Kamakura" is an ideal school for international students wishing to stay for a short term, not only because of its friendliness that facilitates a quick integration into life in Japan but also because of its location in an ancient city rich in history, surrounded by beautiful nature with the sea and mountains nearby, even though we are just an hour away from central Tokyo. We already welcome you and look forward to seeing you in Kamakura.

KAMAKURA
Kamakura, located southwest of Tokyo, is a charming coastal town in Japan, easily accessible within an hour by train from central Tokyo.
Known for its historic Buddhist temples and Shinto shrines, it was founded in 1192 and served as a political center during the Kamakura shogunate. The city is home to the famous Great Buddha of bronze and the Tsurugaoka Hachimangū shrine.
With its picturesque beaches and hiking trails, Kamakura offers a quiet and relaxing living environment, attracting those looking to escape the hustle and bustle of Tokyo without straying too far while enjoying a rich cultural heritage.
